DRUSA: HURRICANE HELENE
** This webpage will be updated daily as information is made available.

Cornerstone Family,
Millions of people have been affected by the destruction caused by Category 4 Hurricane Helene since it made landfall late Thursday night in the Florida panhandle. The unprecedented Hurricane has brought catastrophic flooding, extensive power outages, and devastated communities. Ninety deaths have been reported in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.
Our DRUSA Ministry is being deployed to assist in bringing emergency relief to the hardest-hit areas in the western part of our state. Pastor Anthony Craver and the wonderful congregation of Upward Christian Fellowship will serve as the official location for our relief effort. The church is located at 991 Upward Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
The Cornerstone Conference IPHC shower trailer is on its way and will arrive on Monday, September 30, 2024. The NC Conference Mobile Feeding Kitchen will arrive on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Water and supplies are being shipped to the church for distribution. Our DRUSA Team is still working on the timing of our clean-up teams, which will be needed over the days and weeks ahead.
We need your help!
-
Please pray for everyone who is suffering from Helene’s aftermath. As you pray, please pray for those who are serving individuals and families who need spiritual and emotional support during this difficult time.
-
Please consider giving a financial gift to assist individuals and families impacted by the storm. Contributions may be sent to IPHC Box 12609, OKC, OK 73157. Earmark for DRUSA/ NC Floods. You can also make a secure gift HERE, project code 02261P.
Psalm 46:1-3 reminds us that we are not alone: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging."
May God bless you,
Mike Ainsworth
