Church Revitalization & Development

Evangelism Ministries serves Cornerstone Conference IPHC by working in conjunction with our Resident Directors of Discipleship and Hispanic Ministries to assist churches in equipping leaders to plant new congregations. We seek to help local churches become vibrant, healthy, growing, and reproducing churches by resourcing and training disciple-makers who lead in the multiplying of soul-winning churches.

Ministry Overview

Cornerstone Evangelism Ministries has a desire to serve the body of Christ and the Cornerstone Conference and we are called to partner with each pastor by providing encouragement, training, and resources for the work and ministry of evangelism and its focused efforts in reaching each local church.
We have a passion to see congregations fully equipped and actively making an impact in each community with the gospel message.
We are here to assist by providing consultation and resources in various areas of evangelism including Church Planting, Church Development / Revitalization, and Intercultural Ministries.

Our Scriptural Mandate is from the Last Words of Jesus to His First Disciples:

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20

Cornerstone Evangelism Ministries believe that it is our utmost responsibility to multiply disciples and churches in the Cornerstone Conference. We invite you to join us in this commitment to influence our world by:

SERVING THE LOCAL CHURCH: We exist to serve each pastor and local church in reaching the lost in their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through training opportunities related to effective practices and strategies of evangelism, outreach, assimilation, and discipleship. Examples of this include Sidewalk Sunday School, Back to School Outreach, and School/Community Partnerships. We emphasize the priority of conversion growth over transfer growth by encouraging church growth methods and practices that target unreached and unchurched people in the community.

PRAYER STRATEGY: Prayer is vital to Evangelism. Prayer is bringing God and his resources into our earthly realities. We invite you to join us in our Conference-wide prayer strategy that focuses on praying for: Laborers (Matthew 9:35-38); Supernatural Resources (John 14:11-14); Open Doors (2 Corinthians 2:12); and Lasting Fruit (John 15:12-17).

We celebrate the importance of Evangelism by considering these foundational Biblical truths:

God’s purpose in sending Jesus was to reconcile the world to Himself. (2 Cor. 5:19)
God’s motivation in sending Jesus was love. (Jn. 3:16; Rom. 5:8)
We join Him in His mission as His ambassadors. (2 Cor. 5:19-20)
We reflect His heart to the world around us when we join Him in His mission. (Jn. 17:25-26)
We share Jesus with others because His love compels us. (2 Cor. 5:14)
God’s heart is one that desires for all men to be saved and rejoices when even one person is found in Him. (Lk. 15:1-32; 1 Tim. 2:4; 2 Pet. 3:9)
God’s commission is for His people to be witnesses, making disciples of all nations. (Acts 1:8; Matt. 28:19-20)
We obey His command to evangelize the world around us because we love Him. (1 Jn. 5:3-4)
God’s power to save is exhibited in the Gospel. (Rom. 1:16; 1 Cor. 1:18)
We can lose personal inhibitions when our confidence is in His power and not our abilities and thereby boldly proclaim Jesus as God’s solution to the sin problem. Through Jesus people are made right with God. (Acts 1:8; Rom. 1:16)
