Ministerial Continuing Education

The Ministerial Continuing Education Program exists to connect our ministers with the best resources available to teach, train, and inspire them to greater things for the Kingdom of God through monthly communication and collaboration.
In our rapidly changing world, a degree, a certificate, or a license is not enough to insure long term effectiveness in ministry. Instead we must all be committed to the process of lifelong learning. Eric Hoffer has said that “In times of change, learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.”
The Cornerstone Conference is focused on fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ to make disciples all over the world. In order to do that, our churches and ministries must be led by leaders who are committed to spiritual and personal growth. This is not a time for passive leadership, rather a time for servant leaders to rise up and take hold of the mandate of Christ, going forward as fully equipped believers to multiply churches and disciples.
To facilitate such growth, we are committed to provide our ministers with the best resources available to teach, train, and inspire them to greater things for the Kingdom of God. Each month, the MCEP Director will contact the Conference Ministers through email to share events, recommended books, BMI classes, and other training events designed to help us all be better ministers and better leaders.
Pastoral Care & Counseling

The Pastoral Care and Counseling Ministry provides effective Biblical care and counseling to credentialed ministers of the Cornerstone Conference and their families. Our objective is to facilitate spiritual, mental, and emotional wellness in those to whom we minister.
The ministry utilizes several primary methodologies to accomplish our objectives.
-
To provide personal, confidential counseling with individuals on a one-on- one basis. This may include couples or even family units as the need requires.
-
To provide periodic couples or family retreats which provide relaxation, inspiration, and practical training in areas relative to marriage and family.
-
To provide support and encouragement in times of personal crisis and transitions of life and ministry.
-
To provide restorative care and counseling to ministers who have experienced moral failure and involved in a restoration program with Cornerstone Conference.
School of Ministry

Our School of Ministry offers two unique tracks designed to equip and empower individuals for their role in ministry. Equip Cornerstone - The Ministry Team Track is perfect for those seeking focused leadership training in various areas of ministry. Open to everyone, this track provides invaluable tools and insights for effective service, whether you're a seasoned leader, volunteer within your church, or just starting your ministry. Credentialed ministers can also take advantage of these classes to earn MCEP credits, enhancing their ongoing ministerial education. Each course takes place in person at the Cornerstone Ministry Center and has a fee of $35. In order to register, please go to registration and select the Ministry Team Track. Please note that this track does not lead to credentialing but focuses solely on developing your ministry and leadership skills.
The Credentialing Track is specifically tailored for those pursuing official credentials within the IPHC. Whether you are seeking a Local Church Minister’s License, a Minister’s License, or Ordination, this track provides the necessary coursework and guidance to fulfill your calling and meet credentialing requirements. This track is part of the IPHC Clergy Development and the Ministerial Credentialing Program. Each credential—Local Church Minister's License, Minister's License, and Ordination—requires the completion of ten courses. Semesters are January 1st - July 14th and July 15th - December 31st.
Archives Ministry

The Cornerstone Archives is charged with the collection, preservation, and displaying materials from churches and pastors to reveal God’s faithfulness in establishing His kingdom building and ministry to Western North Carolina.
Archives is always seeking information that pertains to the Conference. It is our goal to fill-in our history since its conception in 1915. We welcome any information and labeled pictures that document events within our conference and churches.
Our Archives Committee meets once a quarter to go through materials and catalogue items of interest. They also help encourage local churches to donate items to place in their individual church files. Together we try to determine the order in which we want to preserve and enhance our collection.
Many times people ask if an item is of interest to the Archives Department and the answer is, EVERYTHING IS OF INTEREST. Please do not throw away something without asking us first. There are times that we have duplicates, and we take the one that is in the best shape and try to preserve it. Any item that is dated and represents a significant event is always of importance for our department.
Material of great interest:
Publications by A. E. Robinson, The Virginia Challenge, The National Voice, Tomorrow, copies of the Way of Faith, copies of The Holiness Advocate, and church histories.
Finance Committee

The Finance Committee monitors the financial health of the Cornerstone Conference and makes recommendations to the Conference Executive Council on financial matters of significance to the Conference.
The Conference Finance Committee is appointed by the Conference Executive Council. If you are interested in serving, please contact the Conference Office.
NXT Gen Ministries

Next Gen exists to facilitate crucial conversations that seek to help identify the calling of God, so that we might help connect new leaders with ministry opportunities. Next Gen seeks to:
-
Connect with Pastors, Student Pastors, and Lay Leaders who have boots on the ground and connections to students.
-
Connect our ministry to other Cornerstone Conference ministry opportunities such as Camp Dayspring, BMI, and other ministry that allow students to get involved.
-
Provide resources to students and leaders leading up to NEXT GEN CONFERENCE that engage and challenge the next generation of church leadership.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10-11
Minister's Wives Fellowship

The Ministers Wives Fellowship exists to provide support, encouragement, and opportunities for fellowship among our ministers’ wives. Our goal is to help them to feel loved and appreciated. We send out a quarterly letter to each spouse. We also host an Annual"Renew" Conference for our ministers wives.
”Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength...” Isaiah 40:31

World Intercessory network

WIN ministry brings praying into every aspect of ministry. WIN exists to help resource, renew, and revive the power of praying until God has been heard, His purpose made known, His presence manifested and His glory falls. The vision of WIN is to connect believers to the heart of God through prayer as we intercede for the nations. Here in the Cornerstone Conference this includes coordinated, concentrated prayer for:
-
Kingdom Expansion through the ministries of the Cornerstone Conference and IPHC World Missions,
-
The health of our current churches and the birthing of new ones,
-
The effectiveness of our officials, missionaries, pastors, and all other ministry leaders,
-
The well-being of all our ministers and their families, and,
-
The spiritual and strategic direction of our denomination and conference.
In addition to connecting intercessors, the CornerstoneWIN ministry is also committed to providing resources to generate a fresh enthusiasm for focused prayer.
