Dear Woman of God,
I hope this letter finds you well. It has been a while since my last letter, and I wanted to reach out to say hello. I hope spring is going well for you and that you're enjoying this beautiful time of year. I have so enjoyed watching my garden grow and my flowers bloom. Not so fond of the humidity! Summer is a perpetual bad hair experience for me.
I heard a message recently that has really blessed my heart and stuck with me over the last few weeks. The scripture reference is taken from Psalm 91:1-9. There were three basic points:
Learn to Dwell Again.
Learn to dwell again. Dwell on the things of the Spirit. Philippians 4:8 instructs us to think on the right things. Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy, think on these things. Things of the Spirit.
Learn to Rest!
Learn to rest! If we find the right shelter, we will find the right shadow. Real rest is found in the Lord. It doesn’t matter where we go or what we do. If we aren’t close to the Lord, we will not find rest.
Learn to Trust.
Learn to trust. Are we ready to trust God? Trust is the very foundation of our faith.
I will close with this thought! I have said this before but it’s worth repeating, give yourself time to rest and refresh this summer! Plan time away from the busyness of ministry and life. Dwell in the shelter of the presence of the Lord, it will take effort, but I know we can do it. Learn to rest. Let’s quiet ourselves so that we can hear His voice. Learn how to trust the Lord in a deeper way. Remember that trust is the foundation of our faith, so sure up the foundation in His word and in His presence.
I love and appreciate you so much! Thank you for all that you do. You are amazing!
Cheering you on,
Trisha Ainsworth
