Dreaming of More for This Generation

Have you ever met a parent who felt like they had it all figured out? When’s the last time you had a conversation with a younger person and genuinely felt the generation gap?
Do you pray for the next generation in your family to have a deeper relationship with God?
Have you ever wished there was someone you knew and trusted who could help you navigate parenting and discipling your children?
On some level, we can all identify with those desires.
We desperately want to see our children (and this generation) come to know and love our Savior, we want them to share our values and worship with us, and yet it feels like the generation gap is getting deeper and wider with every news cycle and viral trend.
If you’re like me, it seems harder and harder to keep up and keep track of all that’s waging war against our family, and even harder sometimes to know which direction to lead. How can I know which way to go? What can I do to ensure my son comes to know Christ in a meaningful way? Where can I turn to find the answers?
Thankfully, we don’t have to wrestle with these questions alone.
Let me invite you to join us this year for our Annual Conference session on Saturday, June 7th, 2025. Like every year, we’ll gather together for worship, celebration, for vision-casting, and to conduct the business of Cornerstone.
This year, we’re thrilled to add a special emphasis on Ministry to Families as part of our Conference agenda. We know that God has uniquely positioned parents and caregivers with the opportunity and responsibility to lead their families in becoming more like Jesus, and we want to offer parents, pastors and leaders deeper insights and relevant resources to reach their homes and communities with the Gospel.
This year, Dr. Michelle Anthony, Director of the Initiative for Faith and Family, will present a keynote address during our Annual Conference Session, and then a breakout session for our Pastors. In addition, there will also be breakout sessions for Children and Student Ministry Leaders, as well as Cornerstone Women (led by Whitney Davis) and Men (led by W. A. Mills and Mike Honeycutt).
This will be an excellent opportunity to not only learn more about the relationships and resources that can help us lead our families, but also a great way to reconnect with friends and build our faith community right here in Cornerstone.
