The Global Outreach Offering

For sixty years, the Global Outreach (GO) Offering has served as the annual source of funding for World Missions Ministries of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. Here are seven statements for IPHC pastors to consider when promoting the GO Offering this year:
As its name suggests, this collection is indeed global. The recipients of the GO Offering never consist of only one or two nations. On the contrary, dozens of ministries worldwide are impacted by GO Offering funds each year. In the past decade, the following countries have received grants to purchase land, erect buildings, establish training centers, and much more: Belgium, Belize, Burundi, Cambodia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mexico, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Romania, Senegal, Spain, Tanzania, Thailand, Togo, Ukraine, Uruguay, Wales.
The GO Offering is designed to provide supplemental assistance to the ministries of IPHC missionaries and national leaders. (We currently have a ministry presence in 120 nations around the world.) These funds are not intended to take the place of regular monthly support to those serving on the mission field, but rather to complement it.
The GO Offering is unique. In the past, IPHC WMM has encouraged participants to give at least a day’s wage for global outreach. In many parts of the world, that consists of less than two dollars a day. In America, the average daily wage is about $ 124.00. per day. Many can give more; others may give less.
The GO Offering is vastly distributed. Like one river, with many streams, this one offering flows into dozens of ministries around the world each year. Seldom can one find a single offering going to so many worthy recipients.
The GO Offering is an opportunity. This initiative provides a way for churches and individuals to join others of “like-precious faith” to accomplish things that they never could by themselves. Thus, missions giving is often recognized as the greatest reason for the existence of denominations.
The GO Offering is necessary. Let us be clear, there would be no IPHC World Missions Ministries supporting over 200 missionaries in 120 nations without this offering. The GO Offering is the lifeblood of the IPHC’s role in striving to fulfill the Great Commission.
(7) The GO Offering is ultimately not about money; it is about eternity. On the mission field, money is translated into ministry. At the Judgment Seat of Christ, the senders will receive the same smile on the face of the Master as the sent ones. How wonderful it will be to meet those in Heaven who heard the Gospel from someone that we helped to send!
